Driving the conversation on the reconstruction of Puerto Rico
During April, the ACPR also held the successful luncheon “Alliances for the Reconstruction of Puerto Rico” at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino, with the goal of encouraging discussion about the alliances being formed for Puerto Rico’s reconstruction, as well as the projects and developments making a social and economic impact on the island. Moderated by Arch. Vanessa de Mari, we had the honor of hosting incredible speakers, including: Fermín Fontanés, Esq., executive director of the Public-Private Partnerships Authority of Puerto Rico (P3s); Jorge Hernández, president and CEO of Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC; Luis Faure-Bosch, PE, MEM, director of Development and Planning at Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC; Julián Fernández, general director of Metropistas; and Iván Múnera Pascual, director of Projects and Infrastructure at Metropistas.
The event also gave attendees the opportunity to network and share ideas among the group of industry leaders.
MEETING WITH COR3 AND THE FEDERATION OF MAYORS
Arch. Vanessa de Mari Monserrate met with Eng. Manuel A.J. Laboy, executive director of the Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction and Resiliency (COR3), to discuss the important role the construction industry plays in Puerto Rico’s reconstruction process and how the Association can continue joining efforts and collaborating on the road to recovery. De Mari, along with other ACPR representatives, also met with the president of the Federation of Mayors of Puerto Rico, Hon. Gabriel Hernández, to further discuss various projects and collaboration agreements with the Federation.
Durante el mes de abril, la ACPR también realizó el exitoso almuerzo “Alianzas para la reconstrucción de Puerto Rico” en el Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel 8% Casino, con el objetivo de fomentar una discusión sobre las alianzas que se están realizando para la reconstrucción de Puerto Rico, así como los proyectos y desarrollos que están impactando social y económicamente a la Isla. Moderado por la Arg. Vanessa de Mari, tuvimos el honor de servir de anfitriones a increíbles oradores, como: Fermín Fontanés, Lic., director ejecutivo de las Asociaciones Público-Privadas de Puerto Rico (P3s); Jorge Hernández, presidente y director general de Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC; Luis Faure-Bosch, PE, MEM, director de Desarrollo y Planificación de Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC; Julián Fernández, director general de Metropistas, e Iván Múnera Pascual, director de Proyectos e Infraestructura de Metropistas.
El evento también brindó a los asistentes la oportunidad de establecer contactos y compartir ideas entre el grupo de líderes de la industria.
REUNIÓN CON COR3 Y LA FEDERACIÓN DE ALCALDES
La Arg. Vanessa de Mari Monserrate se reunió con el Ing. Manuel A.J. Laboy, director ejecutivo de la Oficina Central de Recuperación, Reconstrucción y Resiliencia (COR3, por sus siglas en inglés), para discutir el rol tan importante que juega la industria de la construcción en el proceso de reconstrucción de Puerto Rico y cómo la Asociación puede continuar uniendo esfuerzos y colaborando hacia la carretera. a la recuperación. Asimismo, de Mari, junto con otros representantes de la ACPR, se reunió con el presidente de la Federación de Alcaldes de Puerto Rico, Hon. Gabriel Hernández, para profundizar en la discusión de diversos proyectos y convenios de colaboración con la Federación.
